High-quality veggies, fresh because they are grown locally. Very convenient if you live nearby or if you're driving through Shutesbury, on your way to other towns.

I can't say enough great things about this stand! It's just down the road, and our go-to spot for weekly staple produce and local eggs. The shiitakes are gorgeous and super tasty, and way cheaper than the super market. We've bought all sorts of produce otherwise unavailable at stores, like fresh concord grapes, hardy kiwis, hakurei turnips, and honey nut squash. The stand is also refrigerated and takes venmo, so it's super convenient.

Many of my friends have farm shares in the valley, and that is great….. when we support our local growers, we all benefit. For me, buying my food at DJ’s Farmstand is my CSI. How many people can go down the street and find thoughtfully grown produce? I am a devoted customer because the produce is fresh and vibrant…I love being able to pick up some free range eggs and log grown shiitakes. Thank you for being in my neighborhood!

This is Real Food

I don’t poison my food or yours.
DJ’s Farm is managed using traditional, sustainable, biological methods and as many reusable supplies as possible. My goal is to tread lightly on our Earth while producing amazing food.

Plants are grown in soil, amended generously with compost, worm castings, and natural fertilizers. Pest control methods include low-till management, mulches, fabrics, predator species, and traps. Least toxic effective insecticide sprays are used only as a last resort. Herbicides are never used under any circumstances.

Harvests are frequent, offering the freshest, tastiest, produce possible, with lots of vitamins and minerals. No fossil fuels are used to transport DJ’s produce, as the farm is within walking distance. That’s local! For your convenience, I offer some other items produced by local folks with similar practices.
